Hey guys what’s up! Today, my bffe (BEST FRIEND FOREVER EVER) and me, or you probably know us better as Karoline from Norway and Iva from Germany are writing this article! This is the second day in LAS VEGAS!!
Because the last night was so long, we got to sleep at 1am, yay! We had breakfast and left at ten, and guess what: we were going to check out the Las Vegas strip!
So when we stopped at the Bellagio, and in groups and were walking around and looking at the fancy hotels of Vegas and the casinos. I bet you know the Cesar’s Palace, the Luxor and many others! When we walked into the lobbies, we felt like stars: everything was golden and silver, shiny lights and big statues. Of course we took soooo many pictures, I guess too many. Wait, you can never take too many pictures J
If you have been to Vegas, you know that the strip is so big, and it is impossible to check out everything when you walk, so we took the bus.
First, we walked into the Flamingo hotel. It looks just like in the movies! People were already gambling early in the day, which was kind of funny.
The next thing was the Cesar’s palace, and guys, you can’t imagine how big it is! Of course it was very fancy too.
After that, we took the bus all the way down to the Luxor hotel, the one that looks like a pyramid. It is black, and in front of it was that big sphinx. It was really awesome and we took a lot of pictures.
When we got done there, we walked a few minutes to New York New York. We could see a miniature of the statue of liberty. What a blast! In the building, there was also a casino. Go figure J We had lunch there and moved on to Hard Rock Café.
On the way there, we saw other students, from our group, that were going to ride the big roller coaster. Everyone said it was awesome! When we got to Hard Rock Café, we bought (of course) T-shirts. Right next to that, was the M&M building, everything was so colorful in it J So, when we got done there, we had a shock, our three hours were almost over and we had to head back to the Bellagio! But not without buying some souvenirs ;)
Back on the bus, we stopped by the Hard Rock Hotel, were a lot of us bought souvenirs again. We also checked out the beach! It was pretty awesome.
Then the other big highlight, the Stratosphere Tower! We went all the way up to the top, and a lot of us were riding the scary rides, for example the one that shoots you over the edge of the tower! It was really scary, but we had an amazing few of Vegas.
We also ate dinner there, we had a buffet, but it was limited to 27 refills L Just kidding J Raphael told us the big surprise, he said we would meet the other group that was starting from San Francisco at the Universal Studios. How exciting!
Then we split: The first group went back to the Las Vegas strip to see some more of the town, while the other group was going back to the hotel to get ready for CIRQUE DU SOLEIL!!! We were a group of 39 and we were so excited about it, even though no one knew what to expect. But it was totally worth it and definitely unforgettable.
When we got to the Balaggio, we had amazing seats. Almost in the middle and almost up front, the view was perfect. The show started up with clowns, and then the curtain fell: we saw an amazing show of acrobatics, swimmers, people playing with fire and so much more. The bad part is that I can’t even describe nearly how awesome it was, you would have to see it yourself! The time flew by, and when it was over, we could just say WOW.
We got (again J) some souvenirs, of the show.
So, it was over.. How sad! Around midnight we went back to the hotel, and everyone is so tired! So are we as we write this article, we already had to go to the bathroom to finish it, because our roommates already went to bed to catch some sleep. Because… tomorrow (or better today) we are heading to LOS ANGELES! CALIFORNIA HERE WE COME!
Iva from Germany and Karoline from Norway.
