June 9th - Phoenix, AZ - Grand Canyon

Hey everybody,

 

Today the blog is present by Geoffrey from Belgium and Lena from Germany.

 

Our second day has been so much fun, we got to know each other better. After we slept in nice rooms, in a nice comfortable bed, we woke up at 7 am and we had a delicious breakfast.

 

At 9 o' clock, our day started with a nice city tour around Phoenix. We had the chance to have a guide with us who gave us more information about the big city. Our first stop was at the state Capitol and we visited the museum, where we learned more about the nature of Arizona. When we left that place it was very sunny (ha...ha... a lot of sun here :D).

 

Our following stop was at the baseball stadium of Phoenix. We were allowed to go inside the stadium and get a drink at the water fountain. Over there we took a lot of pictures...Aren't you jealous? In the baseball stadium gift store, we had a LOT of fun, and we played with the foam hands, and the bats.

 

Then, we went into the desert to see some awesome cacti. The park was called: Papago Park, there we reached the top of the big stone-mountain-rock, we took an awesome picture in/at/through/across that hole. After that we went to the huge mall to shop and have lunch. Oooh, Geoffrey had an aqua massage that was very relaxing and everybody was around watching and later having the aqua massage themselves. (JJ from Colombia was after Geoffrey)

 

At 3 o’clock we left the mall heading to the Hotel. We arrived at 6pm at the Mountain Ranch Hotel and it is a very cool hotel. We played volleyball with our crazy Italian friend, Alessia (she screms like CRAZY… she is so funny). Also, other students played basketball and other just chilled out at the lobby.

 

Then, we had a DELICIOUS dinner and our table loved the bread (it was very good).

 

We really enjoyed our second day at the west coast trip... Thank you very much for this wonderful trip...
